Our Beginning Handgun Clinic is the perfect way to start your journey into the sport of shooting handguns! This coeducational course teaches participants handgun safety, operations, terminology and the fundamentals of shooting to safely use a semi-automatic pistol.
You will learn with a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol. The benefit of this platform will allow you to take part in live-fire range exercises without the more harsh recoil of a larger caliber firearm. Safety and fun are the goals for this course, so call us now and get started on your journey!

Take your self-defense preparedness to the next level with Black Wing’s Home Defense Handgun course where you’ll learn handgun skills, which are essential and fundamental to home defense with a firearm. This course is range intensive, with numerous live-fire range drills. You will also learn combat and tactical reloading, weak hand/strong hand firearm operation, use of cover and home defense considerations.
| Prerequisite: | This is not a beginner’s course. You must be 21 years old or older, legally able to own a firearm, understand safety and how your firearm works. |

Just having an Ohio CCW permit (or non-res CCW permit) and a gun, is not enough! Black Wing's Practical Carry course will provide you with the mechanics of carrying a self-defense handgun and the techniques to enable you to get to it quickly and use it effectively!
Going well beyond Ohio's required curriculum, this class will better prepare you for the day-to-day reality of carrying a concealed handgun.
*Students must have already taken their Ohio CCW training, in order to take part in this course.
