Join our A Girl and A Gun Delaware chapter!

A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League is a ladies-only organization established by women shooters for women pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooters! The league is designed to take beginners to whatever skill level they wish to achieve and provide experienced shooters with more opportunities. The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for self-defense and competitive shooting. Others also are interested in learning how to choose the right guns, gear, and accessories for long-term participation in the community.

What to expect

  • Become a member: Join A Girl & A Gun
  • What to expect: Each meeting includes 30 minutes–1 hour of instruction in the classroom, followed by range time focused on that month’s training topic.
  • Getting Started: Once your membership is purchased, your chapter facilitator will contact you by email with the onboarding information you need to make you an official member of the sisterhood!

 

Delaware Chapter Meetings

  • Girls Night Out (GNO): First Thursday of each month from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
    • Bring your A Girl & A Gun Shooting Journal, print the current month’s target, and join us for a fun, focused training session. Afterward, we head to Shorty’s for dinner and some much-needed girl time!
  • Breakfast & Bullets (B&B): Third Friday of each month from 10am-12pm,
    • Start the morning with breakfast and some girl time at a local restaurant, then head to the range for a fun shoot and, occasionally, a special discussion or training topic.

AG & AG Youth Opportunity

    Girls can join A Girl & A Gun as Youth Members for only $20 per year, when their parent or legal guardian is a member. NOTE: A parent (mom or dad) or legal guardian MUST be registered as a current AG & AG member, and must accompany a Youth Member to EVERY event and must remain within arm’s length at all times.

    Participation in live-fire events for Youth Members is at the discretion of the Chapter Facilitator and subject to the policies of the host range.

    Parents and guardians are encouraged to teach their children to respect firearms and understand the basic safety rules before attending a live-fire event.

    Hello! My name is Kara Slonecker. I am the Chapter Facilitator of the Delaware, OH Chapter of A Girl and A Gun (AG & AG).

    I am a certified firearms instructor dedicated to providing professional, safety-focused firearms education in a welcoming and supportive environment. As a lifelong learner, I have trained under an extensive roster of respected firearms instructors and industry professionals, continually expanding my knowledge to bring current techniques and best practices to my students.

    I work with students of all experience levels, helping them build confidence, develop practical skills, and become responsible firearm owners through patient, personalized instruction. My goal is to give every student the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about personal safety and responsible firearm use.

    I would like to invite you to the Delaware OH chapter of A Girl and A Gun, where we promote a judgment free, safe, fun environment for women of all shooting skill levels to come out and enjoy learning in the community that we are building. Join today and help us build our sisterhood!
