BWSC shotgun Cleaning and Maintenance Class
This class is designed to educate students on proper shotgun cleaning and maintenance. Whether your shotgun is used for home defense, hunting, or sport shooting, understanding how to properly care for your firearm is just as important as knowing how to operate it safely and effectively.
Topics Covered:
- Proper disassembly techniques for your shotgun
- Parts wear – when to tell when parts need replaced
- Choke tube maintenance
- Proper lubrication
- Maintenance schedule
Shotguns excluded: All lever action shotguns, bullpup style (example Keltec KSG), AK style or AR style. If you have questions, please contact training at 740-363-7555 ext. 2220 or [email protected]
Students should also provide a kit to include the following:
- Cleaning rag
- Cleaning brush (nylon or brass bristle)
- Solvent
- Lubrication oil
- Bore brush/bore snake
- Choke tube wrench
- Choke tube lube
- Q-tips
- Cotton cleaning patches
