Meet the Instructor
Emmett C. Jarvis III
Emmett C. Jarvis III is the Founding member of Team Anvil, a company that Advises, Consults and Trains everyone from the everyday citizen/carrier to special operations teams in law enforcement and the military. Emmett was raised here in Delaware and upon graduating high school, enlisted in the United States Army where he had a distinguished career serving as an Infantrymen for over 18 years before being medically retired due to wounds sustained in combat and injuries in training. Emmett served in Rapid Deployment Units, serving 50 months in Iraq and Afghanistan where he executed assignments ranging from raids to capture or kill High Value Targets to Personal Security Detail for dignitaries including the Honorable Paul Bremmer, close quarters battle, Tactical Site Exploitation, Sensitive Site Exploitation, partnering with and assisting indigenous forces to secure and defend local provinces through the application of force, defensive tactics, counter terrorism/anti-terrorism and more. Emmett climbed the ranks up to being selected by the Department of The Army to be promoted to Sergeant First Class (E7/a Senior Leader) serving in positions including Squad Leader, Section Leader, Operations Non-Commissioned Officer, Platoon Sergeant responsible for up to 30 Infantrymen, as well as a Recruiter. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device for valor, the Combat Infantrymen’s Badge and many more.
