Practical Shotgun for Home Defense is specifically designed to teach students modern shotgun techniques as it pertains to home and personal defense.

In this class we will focus on: 
  • Proper/ safe handling
  • Firearm manipulation
  • Body alignment
  • Loading/ reloading techniques
  • Recoil control

Practical Shotgun for Home Defense is not a beginner level class. Students must provide their own shotgun and have basic knowledge of its operation before enrolling.

This class is held outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather.

Pre Requisite – Basic knowledge of personal shotgun operation

Skill Level – Beginner/Intermediate

Classroom – None

Range – 3 hours

Ammo – 50 rounds of birdshot (7.5, 8, 9 shot size)

Equipment – Reliable pump action or semi-automatic shotgun (barrel must not exceed 22” in length), personal hearing and eye protection, method for storing extra shells on their person (shotshell pouch, dump bag, or shot cards (highly recommended))

Offered – limited time during warm season

Class Size – 14

Cost – $90
